Ada Margaret Willhoite

Ada Margaret Willhoite, 92, passed away September 2, 2011 at her La Juntas home. She was born July 28, 1919 in Larned, Kansas to William Marian & Ada Ruth (Eveatt) Jordan. She married Jeff Willhoite on October 19, 1938 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1998.

Ada enjoyed going on walks and being with her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Linda J. Franks of Watonga, OK, Carolyn Kay Thomas of La Junta, Jack Willhoite of La Junta, and Robert (Sheleen) Willhoite of Rocky Ford, CO; grandchildren, Laura Gurley of Torrington, WY, Josh Willhoite of Pueblo, CO, Chelsie Willhoite of McClave, CO, Danny Thomas of Dalhart, TX, Mike Thomas of La Junta, Steve (Bonnie) Thomas of Fort Collins, CO, Jay (Lora) Thomas of LaVeta, CO, Nicole Blakely of La Veta, Jo Beth Willhoite of La Veta, and Sammy Jo Willhoite of La Veta; 15 great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her son, Patrick Glenn Willhoite and her grandson Kevin Franks.

Funeral services will be held at Peacock Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. with Bill Piquette officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home.  Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery.
