Adah Faith Vincent

Adah Faith Vincent, 98, passed away on September 30, 2012 at the Pikes Peak Hospice at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was born on March 15, 1914 in McCune, Kansas to Jacob William & Margaret Nina (Baker) Nolan. She married Hi A. Vincent on January 1, 1938 in Butler, Missouri; he preceded her in death on October 10, 2003.  
Faith graduated from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas (now Pittsburg State University) with an English Major and Music/Latin minors. She taught in Missouri, Kansas, and Westminster, Colorado.
She was a 60 year member of the P.E.O. (chapter W in La Junta), Tuesday Literary Club, and Hospital Auxiliary. She received the La Junta Wake-up breakfast Sunshine Award. She lived at Casa del Sol for nine years. She was an enthusiastic hand bell ringer, having played in five different choirs, most recently the Incredibells of La Junta United Methodist Church. She loved to read and she and Hi were able to travel to many places, her favorite was traveling several times to Ireland.
She is survived by her daughter, Francie (Bill) Haberman of La Junta; grandchildren, Catherine Nyman of Colorado Springs; John (Cindy) Haberman of La Junta; Dan (Debbie) Haberman of Pueblo, and David Haberman of La Junta; great-grandchildren, Jared (Shannon) Haberman; Renea (Scott) Bond; Nolan (Sabrina) Powers; Cassie (Brian) McCoy; Mark, Amber, and Kristie Haberman; and her dear friend, Neva Jean Herrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, and sister, Nora.
Memorial service will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Terilynn Russ officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Methodist Church or to Inspiration Field direct or through funeral home.
