Amy Lou Headlee

Amy Lou Headlee, 42, passed away surrounded by family in her home in Swink on Monday, February 22, 2021. She was born July 1, 1978 in Alamosa, Colorado to Shirley Ann & Micheal Lee Cannon.

Amy was a loving daughter, mother, friend and a huge influence to many who knew her. After attending Swink High School, Amy knew that the Arkansas Valley would always be home. Amy was devoted to raising her kids, was compassionate about her family and loved her job at the La Junta Primary School. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Amy is survived by her children, Joseph and Emily Headlee; mother, Shirley Cannon; sister, Jennifer Cannon; grandparents, Ross and Diane Hurt. She was preceded in death by her father, Micheal Cannon, grandmother, Berneice Hurt and grandparents, Carrol and Norma Cannon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Rocky Ford with Pastor Steve Culver officiating.
