Andrew Carrillo

Andrew Carrillo, 72, of La Junta passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 10, 1939 to Trinidad & Esperanza (Magana) Carrillo in La Junta, Colorado. He married Cordilia Martinez. 
Andrew worked on the Santa Fe Railroad where he also retired from. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed going to yard sales, repairing lawn mowers, playing bingo, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his partner, Chucho who was always by his side..             
He is survived by loving wife of 53 years, Cordy; children, Patricia (Thomas) Martinez, Debbie Carrillo, Dave (Tina Blea) Carrillo, and Paul Carrillo; grandchildren, Jim (Fahleena) Reger, John (Stephanie) Reger, Thomas Reger, Andrew Ray Carrillo, and Brandy Carrillo; great-grandchildren, Michael, Gage, Shelby, Sophia, and Lily; siblings, Cecelia Miera, Margaret Carrillo, Florence (Chris) Flores, Gilbert (Lupe) Carrillo, and Richard Carrillo; aunt, Hortencia Carrillo; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. and Funeral mass will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe / St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating.
