Anna M. Freidenberger

Anna Marie Freidenberger, 93, left this life Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at Pioneer Health Center in Rocky Ford.
Anna was born Aug. 19, 1917 in Kimama, Idaho to Lydia and Friedrich Wirth.
She attended schools in Crowley County and La Junta. On July 15, 1935 she married Manuel Freidenberger in La Junta.
Her family farmed in the Fort Bent area for many years.  Upon the death of her husband she began working at the La Junta Medical Center and retired in 1982. She enjoyed retirement in Rocky Ford working in her yard. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Frank (Ruth) Freidenberger; brother Otto (June) Young; sister Tillie Hammond; grandchildren Linda (Jack) Jackson, Gregg Freidenberger, and Steve Freidenberger; great-grandchildren Nathan Ochoa, Tiffany Ochoa, Bryce Ochoa, Brock Freidenberger, Zachary Freidenberger and Courtney Freidenberger; step-great-grandchildren Veronica Leitner and Allen Jackson; great, great-grandchildren Jonathan, Isaiah, Joshua and Sarayah; step-great, great-grandchildren Audrey and Jackson. Numerous special family and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Manuel; brother Bill Wirth; sister Amelia "Millie" Rowe.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve Culver of the Community Presbyterian Church officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
