Antonio Ulloa

Antonio “Tony” Ulloa, Jr., 52, of La Junta passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating. Services conclude at the church. He was born on May 21, 1956 to Antonio & Faustina (Barela) Ulloa, Sr. in La Junta, Colorado. Tony worked at Western Foods, Santa Fe Railroad; he also was a steel worker and pipe fitter. He enjoyed traveling, playing pool, hunting, fishing and telling stories. He loved being with his friend and friends.Tony will be greatly missed by his family and friends.He is survived by his step-father, Genaro Gomez of La Junta; wife, Danette Ulloa of La Junta; children, Dominique (John Martinez) Ulloa; Angela Ulloa; Antonio Ulloa all of La Junta; grandchildren, Addica, Dominic, Carlos, Christopher, and Elias; sisters, Erlinda (Steve) Armijo of Fowler; Mary Ulloa of Liberal, KS; brothers, Fernando (Gena) Ulloa of La Junta; Isabel Ulloa of Pueblo; numerous nieces & nephews also survive.Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio & Faustina Ulloa.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
