Charlene Groomer

A Memorial Service for longtime Wiley resident, Charlene Groomer will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment of the ashes will follow at Hasty Cemetery .
Per Charlene’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Charlene was born on November 7, 1961 at Flagler , Colorado to Herschel and Edna (Smalley) Fipps and passed away on April 9, 2011 at her home in Wiley, with her family by her side at age 49.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, grandson Xavier Groomer and a brother Rocky Fipps and sister; Carla Fipps.
Charlene is survived by her husband Bill Groomer of the family home in Wiley, children; Brandy Swope of Pueblo , CO, Adam (Crystal) Groomer, Jeremy (Amber) Groomer, Tisha (Robert) Garcia and Myranda Garcia all of Lamar. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, her sister Ethie (Donnie) Hagaman of Lamar as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. The family greatly appreciates the aid and comfort provided to them by Norma Sosa and Earleen Grinager.
Peacock Funeral Home in Lamar is in charge of arrangements.
