Christy Marie Groah

Rev. Christy Marie (Womack) Groah of Ellendale, ND went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born June 16, 1978 to Melvin and Mary Womack in La Junta, Colorado. On November 27, 1999 she married the love of her life Devin Groah. She graduated from Swink High School in 1996, then she went to Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND and graduated with a degree in Biblical Study and Youth Ministry.

Christy loved life to the fullest and enjoyed being with family and friends. Here first and foremost she loved and served her Lord, Jesus Christ and truly walked the walk of Faith, she was an amazing woman. She was an avid scrap booker and created many original cards, invitations and various projects.

In 2010 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and her passion was to make women aware of the silent cancer.

She is survived by her husband, parents, brother, Donald Womack, Swink, and her sister, Elizabeth (Timothy) Havens of Florence, CO, brother-in-law, Darrin (Amy) Groah of Fargo, ND, sister-in-laws, Dawn (Neil) Zinc of Fargo, ND, Diana (Trinity) Martinez of La Junta, uncles, aunts and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home and Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


A celebration of Christy's life will be held at Faith Assembly in Rocky Ford, 1st & Veatch, on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Timothy O'Reilly officiating. A memorial service will be held in Ellendale, North Dakota at a later date.
