Cora Jane West, 83, of Pueblo West, Colorado passed away on November 22, 2018 with family by her side. Jane was born August 1, 1935 to the union of Orval and Ozella (Wheeler) Thomas in La Junta, CO. Jane attended La Junta High School, class of 1952. In 1954, she married Kenneth West, also of La Junta. After marriage, they lived briefly in Colorado Springs before returning to La Junta. Jane worked for several years as a grocery clerk at the La Junta Safeway store before retiring to help manage the family farm for several more years. Jane loved farm life and all of the work that came with it.

In 1989, Jane and Kenneth sold the family farm and retired to Pueblo West, CO where Jane enjoyed many years of camping and fishing, while traveling the United States visiting friends and family. In her later years, Jane and Kenneth became a part of the Arkansas Valley Flywheeler’s Tractor Club. Both she and Kenneth made incredible friendships within the Tractor Club and Jane enjoyed treating everyone to her homemade cinnamon rolls before each meet.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Kenneth West; daughter Sheri West; son Robert (Jill) West; granddaughters Crystal Vincent, Kelley (Darius) Alavi and Carlee West; grandsons Kylen (Emily) Mathias and Kolton West; great-grandson Brayden Alavi; and special tractor pull “granddaughter” Micah Weaver. Jane is also survived by her sisters Levina (Phil) Robertson and Shirley (Jim) Lofdahl and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jane deeply loved her family and friends and is loved by all who are blessed to know her.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 27th at 1:00pm at Fairview Cemetery, La Junta, CO with Pasto Dan Larson of Young Life Pueblo officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Sangre De Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care; 1207 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
