Dakota Rose Baker, 3 months old, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 6, 2012, in La Junta, Colorado to Shane & Amanda (Fairchild) Baker.
Dakota loved singing, talking, and she always had a smile on her face and she was always happy.
Dakota is survived by her parents Shane & Amanda Baker; brother, Colin Baker; grandparents, Walter (Liz) Fairchild; Larry (Kim) Baker; great-grandparents, Elvis Baker; Hazel (Winston) LaMond; Aunts, Kelley Fairchild, Yolanda Gregory, Vevette Martinez, Lanette (Monty) White, Alice Molberg, France (Henry) Gefferion, Lillian (Jody) Lucero, Viola Lucero, Ellie (Ernie) Carrasco, Sadie Cordova, and Lorraine (Robert) Rodriguez and uncle, Chris Fairchild. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, David (Rose) Cordova, Leo (Della) Fairchild, Elvin Kelly, Doris Baker and great, great-grandmother, Vena States.
Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the First National Bank of Las Animas direct or through the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in La Junta with Evangelist Terry Smalling officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
