Dale Kay Lohrey

Dale Kay Lohrey, 62, passed away Nov. 8, 2010, at her La Junta home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 19, 1948 in Tacoma, Washington to Dale Eugene & Alice Mae (Dietrich) Johnson.
Dale enjoyed sharing pictures and stories about her grandchildren. When her children were young the family spent many weekends camping and fishing at Poage Lake. She was a strong supporter of the La Junta Marching Dynamite, drove a school bus for the East Otero School District, and served as the Director of the La Junta Senior Center.
She is survived by her husband, Max Lohrey of the La Junta home; son, Gerry (Robbie) Lohrey of Ignacio, CO; daughter Melissa (Tom) Lohrey-Marrs of Canon City; four grandchildren, Tanner Hunt, Shae and Matthew Marrs, & Emily Lohrey; brother, Chris (Monica) Johnson of La Junta; niece, Sarah Johnson and nephew Ryan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Alice Johnson.
At this time there will be no services.
