Deloma V. Perkins

Deloma V. Perkins, 87, passed away on April 29, 2009 at her La Junta home. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Steve Culver officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home.She was born December 12, 1921 in Ethel, Missouri to Harry W. & Ona (Good) Burt. She married Cecil A. “Perk” Perkins on Dec. 16, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her on March 25, 1997. Deloma loved going to yard sales and taking her grandkids to the park. She enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing and baking. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Perkins of La Junta and Nancy Langston of Grand Junction; sister, Evelyn Watters of Cheraw; and grandchildren, Shari, Jeff, Rob, Tracie and Anthony. Numerous great-grandchildren also survive. Deloma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Alma Bullard & Lorene Patterson.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
