Diana Perry

April 30, 1958 — January 27, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Diana (Martinez) Perry announces her passing after a long battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the age of 60. She was born on April 30, 1958 in La Junta to Daniel & Mary (Encinias) Martinez.

Diana loved to care for and cook for her family and anyone else that walked through her doors. Cooking was one of her greatest talents. She also loved to garden. She was an adopted grandma and auntie to many. She cared for her mother for many years. Diana was a very loving person but did not hesitate to speak her mind when necessary whether you wanted to hear what she had to say or not. You always knew where you stood with her. She was loyal to those she loved. All her life she was at best, spirited. All that knew her loved her and came to rely on her. She welcomed and helped anyone in need.

She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend with a big heart and a great sense of humor. She will be sadly missed and live on in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Martinez; her loving husband and best friend, Jerry Deihl; her six children, Christina Martinez, Yvonne Martinez, Manuel (Dominique) Martinez, Robert Nolan, Patrice Nolan, and Emiliana Nolan; brother, Jim (Hope) Martinez; sisters, Gloria (Randy) Edgar, Stella Martinez, and Patty Martinez; grandchildren, Diana Martinez, Miquela Martinez, Neyha Hernandez, George Vigil, Camille Maes, Addica Ulloa, Dominic Martinez, and Carlos Martinez, great-grandchildren, Trinity, Tyke, Taesha, Santana, Octavia, and Jesse Jr.; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and leaves behind her beloved dog, Stormy Jo. She was preceded in death by her dad, Dan Mora; one sister, Grace Martinez; three brothers, Daniel Martinez, Danny Mora, and David Mora; and nieces, Ashley Mora and Cheyenne Powless.

As per Diana’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
