Doris Jean Fellhauer

Doris Jean Fellhauer died peacefully at her home in Fowler, Colorado on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the age of 88.

Doris was born on March 15, 1932 in Claude, Texas to Miles and Magdell Tyler. She graduated from Fowler High School in 1950 and married Edward Fellhauer in 1953.

Doris dedicated her life to raising her 5 children. She was actively involved in the community as a 4H leader, a lifetime member of the Fowler United Methodist Church, and an active member of UMW. Doris was an avid history enthusiast and devoted many years to the Fowler Historical Society. Her hands were rarely still as she ran her sewing machine, canned food, made stools, and ensured the family farm was in perfect order. Doris was an example of hard work, a loving wife, and dedicated mother and grandmother.

Doris is survived by her five children, Gary Fellhauer, Harold (Darlene) Fellhauer, Eugene Fellhauer, Carol (Donnie) Reeves, Scott (Stephanie) Fellhauer; nine grandchildren, Lindsey (Caleb) Wilson, Brandon Grasmick, Jodie Fellhauer, Brooke (Marlon) Douglas, Justine Fellhauer, Luke (Renee) Fellhauer, Joel (Jenna) Reeves, Cassie Reeves, Daniel Reeves; great grandchildren: Lorelai, Grady, Lily, Kelsie, Marlie, Myla, Callum, Ainsley and Tristen; sister Charlette Biddle; and sister-in-laws, Barbara Tyler and Helen Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Fellhauer, and brothers, James Tyler and Henry Tyler.

A memorial service to celebrate Doris’ life will be conducted at a later date. Memorials can be made to Fowler United Methodist Church or Fowler Museum.
