Eduardo Romero

Eduardo Romero, 72, of La Junta, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his La Junta home.  Eduardo was born in Colonias, New Mexico on March 25, 1938 to Cruz & Lugardita (Urban) Romero. He married DeAnna Bjork on May 24, 2000 in La Junta, Colorado.
Eduardo is survived by his wife, DeAnna of the family home; children, John (Sonia) Romero of La Junta; Roger (Lucy) Cruz of Great Falls, MT; Cheryl (Sam) Swears of Denver, CO; step-children, Nikki (Joseph Archuleta) Bjork of La Junta; Kristie Bjork of Vancouver, WA; Gary (Brandi) White of Lawrence, KS; Robin White of Pueblo, CO; Brian (Cindy) White of Pueblo, CO; daughter-in-law, Juanita Romero of La Junta; siblings, Rosa (Andres) Lucero of Colorado Springs; Corrine (Felipe) Martinez of Colorado Springs; Cruzita Romero of Rocky Ford; Carlie (Reyes) Moncado of Kansas; Fermin (Anna) Romero of Colorado Springs; Gloria Romero of Oklahoma; 32 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren who he loved dearly; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cruz & Lugardita Romero; first wife, Cecilia Romero; sons, Carlos Cruz & Edward Romero; brother, Miguel Romero.
Memorial services will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating of the First Christian Church.
