Edward Lee Peteque, Jr.

Edward Lee Peteque, Jr., 36, passed away at his La Junta home on December 27, 2021. He was born on December 29, 1984, in La Junta to Edward Lee, Sr. & Pauline (Mascarenas) Peteque.

Edward was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin and grandson who loved his children and family dearly. He enjoyed listening to music, working on cars, making people laugh and barbecuing with his family and friends. If you were ever down, you could always count on him to brighten your day and make you smile. His heart was genuine, and his soul was kind, he will be missed immensely. One of his favorite times was watching his Denver Broncos on Sunday.

He is survived by his love, Angelina Casillas; mother, Pauline (Bruno Esquivel) Peteque; daughters, Jennisa, Maia and Ciara Peteque; stepdaughters, D’mia and Maricella Rodriguez; son, Mario Peteque; stepsons, Joseph Martinez, Tony Rodriguez, Jr. and Jayovonni Alvarado; brothers, Louis (Shea) Peteque and kids; Anthony (Alicia Montoya) Peteque and kids; Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Peteque, Sr.; grandparents, Louis & Eleanor Peteque; grandmother, Ramona Mascarenas; aunt, Victoria Florez; uncle, Roger Florez and cousin, Victor Medina.

As per Edward’s request cremation has taken place and no services at this time.
