Eleanor Lee Quick

Eleanor Lee Hergenrader Quick, 87, of La Junta, Colorado, passed away peacefully January 20, 2022 at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She was born August 3, 1934, in La Junta, Colorado to Henry “Tobe” Hergenrader and Esther Forsberg Hergenrader.

She lived in La Junta most of her life, was a wonderful homemaker, bookkeeper and cake decorator. Eleanor loved to fish, travel with her husband and camp in the mountains with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Verald “Bud” Quick in 2019 and a granddaughter, Juniper Gearhart in 1992 and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Springer in 2018. She leaves behind to morn her passing four children, Jay (Lou Ann) Quick of Cheraw, CO; Joy (Kati) Quick of Tucson, AZ; Cynthia (Rick) Fischer of Long Island, KS; and Christopher Quick of Cheraw, CO; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, two sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

A celebration of life will be held in late spring or early summer so we can honor the last wishes of Bud and Eleanor.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice in Eleanor's name.
