Eliceo Elliott Claudio, Jr.

Eliceo Elliott "Lee" Claudio, Jr., 55, of La Junta, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 18, 1955, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Eliceo E. & Germina (Martinez) Claudio, Sr. He married Trish D. Leyba on July 23, 1993 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Lee served several years in the U.S. Army. He had his own business doing high rise windows cleaning. Following retirement he enjoyed fishing, working on computers and spending time with his family. He loved to read, listen to music and tell stories.
Lee is survived by his wife Trish and son Dakota Vaile-Claudio of the La Junta home; daughter, Margarite Claudio of Fallbrook, CA; son, Eliceo (Kristen) Claudio, III of Colorado Springs; daughter, Jessica Claudio of Mesa, AZ; sisters and brothers, Vanessa Claudio of Jersey City, New Jersey; Miguel Claudio of East Hartford, Connecticut; Douglas (Ruth) Claudio of Jersey City; Elieser (Magda) Claudio of Willbridge, NJ; Hector Claudio of Oklahoma; Margarita (Orlando) Salgado of Rochelle Park, NJ; fifteen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Allison Phelps and Annaliese Hurtado also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliceo E. & Germina Claudio, Sr., his grandparents, Alfredo & Martha Claudio, and his twin brother, Edwardo Claudio.
Memorial service was held today, Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Andy Albright officiating.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
