Emilio O. Gonzales

Emilio O. Gonzales, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo.
He was born to Hilario & Juanita (Ortiz) Gonzales in Las Animas, Colorado on August 8, 1931.
Emilio enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Juanita (Jesus Rivera) Otero of Liberal, KS; Edward (Debra) Gonzales of Denver; Daniel Gonzales of Rocky Ford; Anita Gonzales of La Junta; Dora (John) Madrid of Liberal, KS; Alice (Ray) Aguilar of La Junta; Rose (Alfonso) Jaramillo of Rocky Ford; Angie (Jessie) Lujan of Pueblo; Rita Jaramillo of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Joe Gonzales of Tucson, AZ; Jesus (Margaret) Gonzales of Denver; sisters, Micaela Lucero, Angelina Chitwood, Mary Helen Gonzales, Alejandra Adams all of La Junta; Terry Gonzales, Gloria (Ruben) Florez all of Denver; Connie Vigil of Westminister, CO; Frances Munoz of Carson, CA; goddaughters, Yolanda (Michael) Aragon of Stockton, CA; Martha (Larry) Sergeant of Alabama; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Emilio was preceded in death by his parents, Hilario & Juanita Gonzales; brothers, Frank, Tony, Carl, Greg, and Eli; sisters, Guadalupe (Gabriel) Herrera, Ramona (Frank) Rocha.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 28th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
