Frances G. Lucero

Frances G. Lucero, 64 passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 after a extended illness at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center.  She was born on June 5, 1946 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Judge Pat & Josephine (Duran) Romero, Sr.  She married Leroy J. Lucero on November 23, 1966 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Frances worked at the Prior Rocky Mountain Jeans for 21 years. She also was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy of the La Junta home; children, Leroy (Sherri) Lucero; Bernadette (Melvin) Rael; and Josie (Rick) Salazar; grandchildren, Christopher Sanchez, Kenny Grimes, Felicia Rael, Isaiah Lucero, David Rael, Daniel Walter, Jordan Salazar, Miranda Salazar, Noah Salazar, and Reanna Lucero; great-grandchildren, Vicente Valdez, and Kalob Sanchez; brothers, Pat (Barbara) Romero, Jr.; and Lee (Helen) Romero; sisters, Irene (Walter) Woods; Virginia (Joseph Quintana) Bonney; Yolanda (Luis) Chavira; Geraldine (Mark) Baca; and Linda (Tony) Trujillo; brothers-in-law, Tony (Della) Lucero; Augustine (Adeline) Lucero; Cecilio (Eloisa) Lucero; Eusebio (Rebecca) Lucero; sisters-in-law, Ruby (Alejandro) Torrez and Lorraine (Lloyd Trujillo) Gutierrez. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Tony, Eloy, Benny, Jimmy Romero, Rebecca Maes, brothers-in law, Daniel Maes, John Bonney; sisters-in-law, Patsey Romero, Mary Lucero Aragon, Ida Lucero Alderete, in-laws, Cecilio & Frances Lucero.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, February 25, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10 a.m., both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
