Frank Edward Anderson

Frank Edward Anderson, 60, of La Junta, passed away March 8, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center. He was born on November 26, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harrold Frank & Betty Jane (McQueen) Anderson. Frank was the Pastor of the Baptist Church in Leadville, CO. He was a Pastor and Teacher of God’s word. He had degrees in teaching and industrial arts from Warrensburg College in Missouri and a Master's Degree in Seminary.  He was active in the eagle’s scouts, was a minister in the prisons, loved hiding God’s word in his heart, and exploring God’s creation by bicycling, kayaking, skiing, and mountain climbing. He enjoyed carpenter work and woodworking.Frank is survived by his brother, Tommy C. Anderson of Jacksonville, NC and sister, Rebecca S. Lewis of Kingston, MO; three nephews, Jonathan Samuel Lewis, Joshua Daniel Lewis, and Christopher Cole Anderson; two nieces, Elizabeth Christine Lewis and Stephanie Kathleen Lewis. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley Community Church in Rocky Ford with Kurt England officiating.
