Grace R. Christensen

Grace R. Christensen, 92, of Trinidad and formerly of La Junta, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at the Trinidad State Nursing Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Kim Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. also at the Kim Baptist Church. Internment will follow at the Kim Cemetery.
She was born on February 11, 1916 to William & Lula (Ingles) Jackson in Hardesty, Oklahoma. She was married to Ray Talcott, who preceded her in death. Then she married Richard Tice, who preceded her in death and Roy Christensen, who preceded her in death.
Grace is survived by her children, Rita Rae (Robert) Brady of Walton, Kansas; Charlotte (Wilbur) Love of Westcliffe, Colorado; Larry (Rebecca) Talcott of Trinidad, Colorado; brothers, Everett “Babe” Jackson, Sr. of Kim, Colorado; Robert “Bobby” Jackson of La Junta, Colorado, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and nine great, great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Lula Jackson; husbands, siblings, Lester Jackson, Maude “Gurly” Jacobs, Beulah Like, and Billy Joe “Bud” Jackson.
