Grover Jr. Butz

Grover Butz, Jr., 81, of Denver and formerly of Pueblo, Colorado passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Denver VA Medical Center Nursing Home. He was born on December 31, 1929, in Davenport, Iowa to Grover & Grace (Powers) Butz, Sr.
Grover served in the US Navy in the Mediterranean. He was research marine biologist.
He is survived by his sisters, Janeth Hicks of Aurora, Colorado and Barbara Coblentz of Lakeside, California.
Grover was preceded in death by his parents, Grover & Grace Butz, Sr.
Graveside services will be Monday, February 14, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with Reverend Ron Skorick of the First Christian Church officiating. Military honors will be by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8.
