Harold Raymond Scofield

Harold Raymond Scofield, 93, of La Junta passed away on November 27, 2019 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta. He was born in Rocky Ford on August 14, 1926 to Oren B. & Leland Tulip (Land) Scofield. He married Grace McGlothlin on May 3, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico; she preceded him in death.

He farmed west of Rocky Ford in 1947 & 1948. On November 1st 1948 he went to work for the City of La Junta where he retired from on April 30, 1992. After retiring they would travel all over the Western States plus Canada and Alaska, and all the Eastern States. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting deer & elk, traveling and spending time with his family.

Harold is survived by his children, Ronald (Elane) Scofield, Judy Graham, Harold Lee (Nancy) Scofield and Carl (Melanie) Scofield; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and his brother, Oren Scofield, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Linda Scofield and son-in-law, J.D. Graham.

As per Harold’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
