Iva Lea Goodwin

Iva Lea (Clower) Goodwin, 84, passed away July 23, 2011, at her North La Junta home.  She was born April 17, 1927, in Branson, Colorado to Robert Morgan & Minnie Mae (Hicks) Clower.  Iva Lea married Dale Goodwin on October 16, 1943 in Boise City, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1991.
Iva Lea was a member of the Prairie Bible Chapel, loved raising peacocks, and she saw to it that there was always room for one more in her home or at her table.  She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Joyce (John) Goode of Rockport, TX; Betty JoAnn (Al) Mailloux of Liberal, KS; Roberta Dailene (Mel) Carter of Dumas, TX; Georgia Lea Miller of La Junta, CO; Bonnell Christine (Darwin) Edmunds of Liberal, KS; Veronica Marie (Cliff) Edmunds of Vernal, UT; and Ruby Leann (Chris) Reynolds of La Junta; 24 grandchildren & 34 great-grandchildren; brother John Clower of Pueblo, CO and her sister, Ida Mae Sheldon of Lakin, KS.
Iva Lea was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Goodwin; children Iva, Ronnie Dee, Dale Eugene, Linda Elaine (Goodwin) Edmunds, Robert Dale Goodwin, infant son Dale; grandson Daryl Eugene Edmunds; sister Velma (Clower) Padilla; brother R.J. Clower and son-in-law Arvil Miller.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Maynard Bowen of the Prairie Bible Chapel officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, from 9:00 a.m. to service time.
