James M. Hindman

James M. Hindman, 78, of La Junta passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born on October 21, 1941 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Roy and Irene (Roser) Hindman.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Hindman and Irene (Roser) Hindman, his sisters & brothers-in-law, Barbara (Kenny) Hutchins, Diane (Sonny) Adkins and his daughter, Melisha Hindman.

He is survived by his sister Nancy Gebbie of Oshkosh, NE; grandson, Zephaniah Gallegos of La Junta; numerous nieces and nephews along with two special friends, Josh Gallegos of La Junta and Bub Bland.

James enlisted in the military in 1959 where he obtained his GED. After four years in the Army he pursued a career as a heavy machine operator. He always had a story to tell and was always making jokes. He touched many lives and his family and friends will miss him dearly.

As per James request cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service at a later date.
