James Rael

James Rael, 46, of La Junta passed away on June 16, 2016, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on July 12, 1969, to Esther Gamez in La Junta, Colorado.

James was a wild and adventuresome young man. I know that sounds like nice words to explain a trouble maker, but he was never afraid of anything and was always looking for something new. This lack of fear and desire for adventure kept James moving around a lot. He finally found himself in New Mexico, but we are bringing him home to be with his family.

James is survived by his three children; his mother, Esther; brothers Adam, Aaron, Noah and his sisters, Eve, Marie, Angelica and Una along with many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James, and sisters Faith, Becky and Esther.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., at the Fairview Cemetery. A remembrance will immediately follow at the main gazebo at La Junta City Park.
