Jan Edwina Moreno

August 27, 1952 — May 15, 2019

Jan Edwina Moreno, 66, passed away on May 15, 2019 at her La Junta home. She was born on August 27, 1952 in Plainview, Texas to Edward & Patsy (Vinson) Lee.

A deep lover of the Lord, she was very in tune with her spiritual life that began at a very young age. She was a prayer warrior! She was able to relate with others on a deep level and loved people without judgement and was a true model of grace. She loved unconditionally and was always easy to talk to about life and the struggles many carried. She had a fun spirit, loved to laugh and had a witty sense of humor. She had a gentle spirit and her beauty was magnified because of it. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her family and always wanted what was best for them. She had a special bond with her sister-in-law, Sue who she cherished like a real sister. She loved to travel and although she couldn’t travel often, she fell in love with Hawaii. She also loved to camp and fish and enjoyed doing those things with the love of her life, Jim and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Moreno of the La Junta home; children, Gary (Caryn) Cunningham of Colorado Springs; Mandy Musso of Denver; Richard (Dawn) Romero of La Junta; mother, Patsy Lee of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsey and Khloe Cunningham; Christian, Josephine and Caedmon Musso; Riley and Jayden Romero; great-grandchildren, Alexia and Aurora Peters; siblings, Jane (Ed) Sherman of Colorado; Cindy (Paul) Hammerling of Colorado Springs; Joe (Gail) Lee of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father and infant son, Jaime Lee Moreno.
