John Campos

John Campos, 74, passed away unexpectedly at his La Junta home on January 22, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1947 in La Junta to Cristobal & Teresa (Maldonado) Campos.

John served in the US Army from 1966 to 1970 in the 1st Calvary Division; he then worked for NIBCO and later at the Ft. Lyon VA Hospital as a computer support specialist.

John is survived by his brothers, Joe C. (Rosaura) Campos of Las Animas and Isabel Campos of La Junta; nieces and nephews, Crucita, Patsy, Chris, Betty, Susie, Johnny, Jessie, Sarah, Cristina, and Lisa. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jose Campos, sister, Crecencia Campos, brother Andres Campos and nephew Joe Campos, Jr.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Faiview Cemetery in La Junta with Father Victor Raj officiating. Military honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8.
