John M. Rocha

John M. Rocha, Sr., 59, of Swink, passed away October 6, 2010 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 24, 1950 in La Junta to Frank L. & Angelina (Trujillo) Rocha, Jr.
John attended Swink school graduating with the Class of 1968. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of V.F.W. Hank Holman Post 1092. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends
He is survived by his wife, Gloria of the Swink family home; daughters, Sebrena Rocha of Denver and Selena (John Chavez) Rocha of Pueblo; son, John (Misty Padilla) Rocha, Jr. of La Junta; grandchildren, Adalia, Diego, John III, Lorena, John Gabriel; brothers, George (Rita) Rocha of Pueblo, Greg (Marcella) Rocha of Pueblo, Leo (Eloisa) Rocha of Rocky Ford and Frank Rocha of Denver; sisters, Linda Gonzales of Rocky Ford, Frances Rodriguez of Pueblo, Louise (Cecil Coatney) Perez of Pueblo, Marie (Anthony) Rael of Rocky Ford and Angelina Rocha of La Junta. John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gloria Rocha.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Sunday, October 10, 2010, at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m., both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, October 9, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Interment will be at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Military Honors.
