Joshua D. Patterson

Joshua D. Patterson, 25, passed away June 9, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 26, 1986 in La Junta, Colorado to William & Wendy (Russell) Patterson.  

Joshua graduated from La Junta High School, Class of 2005. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at Ft. Irwin Training Center in California. He also graduated from the Police Academy. Joshua enjoyed hunting and riding dirt bikes. 

He is survived by his parents, William G. & Wendy G. Patterson of La Junta; siblings, Daniel Patterson of Parker, CO; Matthew Patterson and Sarah Patterson, both of La Junta; grandmother, Beulah Russell of La Junta. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Virgil Russell and grandparents, John R. & Lucille Patterson.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Funeral service will be Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ with Evangelists Terry Smalling officiating.  Interment will follow at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with Military honors by the High Frontier Honor Team and the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8. Visitation will be held on June 13, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
