Keith I. Webb, 84, of Pueblo, formerly of La Junta, passed away September 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona (Peterson) Webb, and is survived by his two sisters, Shirley (Monty) Duerksen of Kansas City, Kansas, and Nancy (Jim) Rountree of San Antonio, Texas; children Katie (Vern) Easton of Belfield, North Dakota; Liz (Alan) Williams of Pueblo; and Matt Webb of La Junta; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Keith was born June 22, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Bert and Bee Webb. He served in the Coast Guard in 1945 and 1946 as a Radar Operator. Keith married Mona Peterson on April 15, 1950.
On return from service, he started out as an insurance adjuster before opening the Keith I. Webb Insurance Agency in Bridgeport, Nebraska. He later moved to Pueblo and became a loan officer at First Federal Savings and Loan, then on to La Junta where he worked his way up to the Executive VP of Otero Savings & Loan. Keith served as Mayor of La Junta from 1969 to 1973 and was the President of the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District from 1977 to 1980. Keith opened his appraisal company, Webb and Company, in 1976 and received the SRA and SRPA designations from the Society of Real Estate Appraisers in 1979 and the MAI designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1983. Keith retired as a real estate appraiser in 1998.
A private family memorial service was held.
