Leonard Hurrelbrink

June 26, 1932 — August 18, 2011

Leonard Hurrelbrink, 79, of Broomfield, formerly of La Junta passed away August 18, 2011 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Denver. He was born June 26, 1932 in Perrysburg, Ohio to William Harmon & Louise (Borcherding) Hurrelbrink. He married Barbara Mitchell on May 9, 1953; she preceded him in death on June 1, 2011.

Leonard was a general contractor for many years, Hurrelbrink Construction, which allowed him to do what he loved, “building things”.  He later fashioned the men with all styles of clothing in his clothing store, Hurley's For Men, with his late wife Barbara. He loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling his three granddaughters. He will be dearly missed.

Leonard is survived by his son, Tam Hurrelbrink of Broomfield, CO; daughter, Jerre Seibel of Broomfield; granddaughters, Kimberly Buckley (Stuart) of Littleton, CO, Kristi Dewire of Broomfield and Karen Seibel of Lawrence, MA.; and three sisters survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Debra Wilson.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Aug. 25 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Rick Miller of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.





The family requests that any remembrances be donated to Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers of Boulder or to the Hospice of Boulder County.
