Lillian L. Marshall

Lillian Logan Marshall was born in Ogden Utah, July 5, 1922. She was the youngest child born to Robert and Annie Logan Marshall. She departed this life Sunday April 26, 2009 in La Junta, Colo.Lillian worked for the Third Circuit Court of Ogden Utah until she retired in 1984. She was Utah Public Employee Association Outstanding Employee of the Year for 1982. She was a lifelong member of Eastern Star, Miriam Chapter, where she became Grand Worthy Matron in 1982. She was also Utah's 'Business and Professional Woman' of the year in 1998. Lillian lived her life as an avid outdoors person who loved to hike, cross-country ski and watch hummingbirds in the Ogden Canyon area. She was proceeded in death by her Mother, Annie Logan Marshall, Father, Robert Marshall, Brother, Victor Malcom Marshall , Beloved lifetime companion and Sister, Elizabeth Blanche Marshall.She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Bruce (Sharon) Marshall, Austin, Texas, Susan Sowell, Colo. City, Rob (Cindy), La Junta, Nedra Herring, Pueblo, Craig and Scott Marshall, Pueblo, Sandy (Art) Oleman, Pueblo and Sister-in-law, Betty Marshall, also from Pueblo. Survivors also include Great-nephews and nieces, Kimberly & Bruce Marshall, Valerie & Jonathan Sowell, Elizabeth, William and the late Sarah Herring, Ashley & Chris Morlan & Robert & Ashley Marshall, and Teagan & Nyssa Oleman. She was especially proud of her Great-Great nephew named for her beloved Mother, Logan Andrew Marshall who was born near her birthday this year. The family will be having a Memorial service, Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at 1:00 pm at The First Christian Church in Rocky Ford, with Pastor John Dell officiating. Although she was a Devout Presbyterian and Scot she has bonded with our community and church family. All who knew her loved her so all are welcome to share in the celebration of her life. In her honor, her nephew, Rob, will be playing Grandpa Robert Marshalls' bagpipes. Following the service, the family will greet visitors at the Marshall home 718 Colorado Ave, La Junta, Colo. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
