Linda Rae Garrett

Linda Rae Garrett, 66, passed away on January 9, 2018 at her La Junta home. She was born on Aug. 30, 1951 in Paso Robles, California to Ray & Mary Louise (Johnson) Snelson. She married Frank C. Garrett in 1990 in La Junta.

She taught at the Primary school and enjoyed teaching and spending time with the children. She loved spending time with her family and friends and her dog Iris. She enjoyed gardening and yard work and driving her Volkswagen convertible Super Beatle and her Corvette. She also loved her church and her church family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Louise Snelson; husband, Frank C. of the La Junta home; children, Chad (Aarika) Seat of Golden; CO ; Suzette (Jason) Goecke of Frederick, CO; step-children, Eric (Brenda) Garrett of Lakewood, CO; Alicia Moreno of Denver; sister, Kathy (Gary) England of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Ivan Goecke, Lydia Seat; step-grandchildren, Mary Garrett, Ben Garrett, Erickka (Steven) Lucero and Josh Moreno; nephew, Kyle England. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Snelson and son, Kenneth Seat.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in La Junta.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 109 W. 5th Street, La Junta, CO 81050 direct or through funeral home.
