Linda Sue Orrill

Linda Sue Orrill, 58, formerly of La Junta, passed away after a courageous five year battle with cancer on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at her Pueblo West home. Visitation will be Sunday, July 5th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, July 6th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel of La Junta. Funeral service will be Monday, July 6th, at Noon at the La Junta United Methodist Church with Tina Velasquez of Pueblo West officiating.

She was born Linda Sue Rush on June 12, 1951, in La Junta, Colorado to William Larry & Lois Jean (Eberhart) Rush. Linda married Robert Duane Orrill on February 7, 1970 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

Linda spent her childhood in North La Junta. She graduated from La Junta High School class of 1969. She attended Otero Junior College and received her Associates degree. She worked for Wal-Mart as a dedicated invoice clerk for nearly twenty years. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, & grandmother who made family her first priority. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, and gardening. She had a wonderful sense of humor and lived life to the fullest each day.

She is survived by her beloved husband of thirty-nine years, Robert Orrill of Pueblo West; daughters ShawnDee (Michael) Ingo of Pueblo, Amber (Troy) Cunningham of Pueblo West; one grandson, Colton Ingo, who was the light of her life; brothers Michael (Ginger) Rush; Larry (Linda) Rush; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Paula Malott, David (Susan) Malott, Danny Malott, Julie Malott; Uncle Robert (Ellen) Eberhart, Aunts Jeris Young, Donna (Jack) Duncan; Mabel Wingo, numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins; adopted family Judy & Karen Heerschap, Melody Bryan, Jaime (Ron) Schwab, families-in-law Shelly & Herb Critchett, and Fred & Arlene Ingo.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William & Lois Rush; sister Carol Rush; grandmother Vevia Vanhook, grandfather Arlie Eberhart; great-grandparents Susie & Billy Suden, Great-Aunt Marjorie Suden, Kenny Eberhart, brother in-law Steve Malott, and mother-in-law Doris (Mike) Malott; and father-in-law Robert (Evelyn) Orrill.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Schmucker & staff, Dr. Johnson, Ramona & staff, Dr. Balizet, Dr. Archuleta, chemo nurses & staff, Frontier Hospice, and Gerald & Tina and the entire Wal-Mart staffs.
