Lloyd E. Bunting

Lloyd E. Bunting, 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, May 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in La Junta with Evangelist Clayton King & Danny Aragon officiating. He was born May 15, 1933 in Uttleville, Colorado to Albert & Lenora (Cramer) Bunting. He married Thelma Dunsworth on February 14, 1953Lloyd worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years. He was a wonderful father, granddad, and loved taking care of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Thelma of the La Junta home; children, Carolyn (Wayne) Mills of La Junta; Sharon Kay (Doug) Anderson of Pueblo; Sherry Lynn (Alan) Cornelius of La Junta; Cindy (Kirk) Snyder of Swink; grandchildren, Deanna Anderson, Natalie (Kevin) Cox, Amie Minjarez, David Anderson, Cassandra (Thomas) Gribble, Tiffany (Chris) Towner, Trevor Cornelius, Amber (Brandon) Kreft, Caroline Olson, Chad Cornelius, Tawnya Anderson, and Derek Cornelius; great-grandchildren, Andreah Ponce, Christopher Hall, Lauren Hall, Curtis Ponce, Hayden Elgin, Ashley Elgin, Dameon Towner, Abby Anderson, Morgan Gribble, Cade Ponce, Gage Towner, Gwendolyn Towner, Danika Towner, Serenity Anderson; one great, great-grandchild, Danny Garcia, Jr.; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive; siblings, David (Ethelyn) Rathbun, Lee Bunting, Archie (Norma Jean) Bunting, and Charlotte (Johnny) Lanzarotti; also numerous cousins survive. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Lenora Bunting.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
