Lois Le Jeanne Phillips

Lois Le Jeanne Phillips, 79, of La Junta, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Lois was born October 8, 1932 in Vandalia, Illinois to Everett & Eva Bell (Rhodes) Morris. Lois married Phalace “Phil” Grant Phillips, Sr. in Gulfport, MS in 1955; he preceded her in death on November 29, 1998.  
 
Lois served in the United States Air Force, Airman Basic from 1954 to 1956.
She is survived by her children, P. Grant (Kathleen) Phillips, Jr., Alan Phillips, Mark (Cindy) Phillips, Curtis (Candy) Phillips, Donna Phillips, James Phillips, and Scott (Birgit) Phillips; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Wilma L. Novick and Winona M. Martin.
Graveside service will be Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with military honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8. Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
