M. Frances Rogers

M. Frances Rogers, 94, of La Junta, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center.
Frances was born to George W. & Hazel (Hawley) Wells on January 17, 1917 in Denver, Illinois. She married Max Cecil Rogers on June 18, 1948 in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death on August 20, 1999.
Frances attended La Junta schools and graduated with the class of 1935. She worked at the Sinclair Bulk Plant for three years. She worked for the Ft. Lyon VA Medical Center for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Clint) Kenner of Richmond, IL; grandchildren, Greg (Megan) Kenner of Algonquin, IL; Emily (Jason) Koehn of Elmhurst, IL; six great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews, Judy Flanders of Borger, TX; Hazel Brown of Silt, CO; Mike Ruegg of Chicago, IL; Numerous other nieces & nephews also survive.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, George & Hazel Wells; husband, Max Rogers; infant daughter; sisters, Helen Crane & Alma Sexton.
Memorial service will be Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Christian Church with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
