Margaret A. Wilder

Margaret A. Wilder, 82, passed away June 09, 2014 in . She was born on February 19, 1932 in Branson, Colorado to Myrtle and Thomas McClendon.

She graduated from Branson High School. She married William H. Wilder on June 05, 1955 in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death on March 09, 1994.

Margaret loved gardening, cooking, animals, and her family.

Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Roxanne (Jerry) Smith of Penn Valley, California and Holly Wilder of La Junta, Colorado; son, Randy (Charlotte) Wilder of Canon City, Colorado; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Cathee Pepper of Pocatello, Idaho and Joann Banks of Seattle, Washington; brother Tom McClendon of Prescott, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Prairie Bible Chapel, 5112 South San Juan, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Bible Chapel with Pastor Maynard Bowen officiating. Graveside services will be held at Higbee Cemetery following the funeral.
