Margaret Barcelona

Margaret Barcelona, 94, passed away June 7, 2012 at the Belmont Senior Care Center in Pueblo. She was born on February 21, 1918 in Yampa, Colorado to Frank & Epifania "Fannie" (Lucero) Candelaria. She married Daniel Z. Barcelona on May 11, 1939 in Las Animas, Colorado; he preceded her in death on March 6, 1983. 

Margaret loved her church, her family and her God. She loved to bake and eat sweets. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard. She loved to crochet and make blankets for her friends and family. She faithfully served her God, her family, her church and her community. 

Margaret is survived by her son, Thomas (Grace) Barcelona of Westport, WA; grandchildren, Mark (Kelly) Griego of Pueblo; Jeff (Sherry) Griego, Marisha Guerrero, Vincent CeDeBaca, and Michelle (Jerry) Gillardo all of Colorado Springs; Francisco Candelaria Barcelona of Washington State, Samantha Grace Barcelona of Washington State; 22 great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Leona CeDeBaca, son, Benji Barcelona, brothers, Frank Candelaria, Jr. and Mike Candelaria, sisters, Julia Warren, Frances Apodaca, & Minnie Baca, sons-in-law, Marvin Griego and Louie CeDeBaca.




Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe / St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating.  Interment will follow at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery.
