Marie Elizabeth Schulz

Marie Elizabeth Schulz, 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center. She was born on October 22, 1918 in La Junta, Colorado to George & Amanda (Thompson) May. She graduated from La Junta High School in 1937. She married Carl G. Schulz on May 19, 1941 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on January 15, 2007.
She worked for Shull’s Fabric and was a very active 4-H leader for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Alvin (Lisa) Schulz of Madison, WI; David (Corine) Schulz of Thornton, CO; daughter, Jean (Mac) Hadaway of South Fork, CO; grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Hayden & George May and sister, Alberta Yaeger.
At Marie’s request cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
