Marilyn A. "May" Powers

Marilyn Powers, 54 of Rocky Ford, was with us from June 1, 1955 until May 11, 2009. At her request, there was cremation and a family graveside services will be at the Engleville Family Cemetery in Engleville, Colorado near Trinidad on Monday, May 18th at 1:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held in Rocky Ford at a later date.  She was the daughter of Perry “Ed” and Gloria Powers of Rocky Ford. May is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Damien) Heim of Oklahoma; son John Bickford of Oregon; grandson Jacob Bickford of La Junta; mother Gloria Powers of Rocky Ford; brothers and sisters Lawrence Powers, Doug (Michelle) Powers, Lydia (Anthony Maes) Powers all of Rocky Ford; Georgia (Jay) Williams of Swink; Jeanette Bryan of Pueblo West and special friend and companion Alfonso Apodaca of Rocky Ford. May had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by her father Perry Powers, her sister Evelyn Powers and her daughter Jeanette Bickford.Arrangements are though Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
