Martin T. Andrew

Martin T. Andrew, 88, of La Junta, passed away February 23, 2012 in Colorado Springs. He was born on October 10, 1923 in La Junta, Colorado to Gilbert & Flossie (Martin) Andrew. He married Evalena O. Spencer on March 11, 1945 in Las Animas, Colorado; she preceded him in death on February 13, 1995.Martin was a lifetime resident of La Junta. Martin & Evalena enjoyed traveling as they visited all 50 States and 12 foreign countries. Martin owned and operated Andrew Tin Shop in La Junta for almost 30 years.Martin is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” (Linden) Harris-Price of Colorado Springs; son, David Martin (Janice) Andrew of Washington; sister, Marie McKinnis of La Junta; niece, Ivanel McKinnis of La Junta; six grandchildren, Martin Calvin Harris, William Eugene Harris, Tallie Renee Vorhees, Kimberly Sunai Harris, Anthony Michael Andrew, and Deanna Margaret Andrew; ten great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Velma Barber.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Ed Kite of the Rocky Ford Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peacock Memorial Chapel.
