Matthew Munoz

Matthew Munoz, 39, passed away on October 6, 2018 at his La Junta home. He was born on May 9, 1979 in La Junta, Colorado to John & Nancy Jean (Sanchez) Munoz.

Matthew loved spending time with his family, listening to all types of music. He enjoyed cooking, outdoor grilling and smoking a variety of meats. He also enjoyed sports and watching the Broncos, Rockies, White Sox and the Miami Heat. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Mona (Robert) Chaparro of La Junta; John Munoz, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; Monica (Charlie) Carson, Frank Munoz, and Veronica Munoz all of La Junta; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerard Munoz; nephew, Jordon Munoz.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Hicks of the Cheraw Baptist Chapel officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
