Max E. Rigsby

Max E. Rigsby, 81, passed away on Friday. March 19, 2010 at his La Junta home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 25th from 2 to 7 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, March 26, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend M.J. Romano officiating.
 
Max was born on March 1, 1929 in Plano, Texas to Glea & Irva Imola (Turner) Rigsby. He married Beverly A. Rider on March 20, 1999 in La Junta, Colorado.
 
Max enjoyed traveling, ATV’s fishing, games, reading, watching the Dallas Cowboys,
and bowling.
 
Max is survived by his wife, Beverly of the La Junta home; son, Joseph “Jody” (Henrietta) Rigsby of Magnolia, TX; brother, William (Ann) Rigsby of Frisco, TX; sisters, Nellene (Ken) White of Dallas, TX; Joyce Clark of Mesquite, TX; daughter, Jami (Jason) Bennett of San Antonio, TX; son, Birchell “Bo” (Denice) Eden of La Junta; special step-son, Jerry Eden of Marquette, MI; special step-daughter, Kamie Vaughan of Mesquite, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glea & Irva Imola Rigsby; son, Gerry “Rowdy” Rigsby; brothers, Vance & Ronnie Rigsby.
