Miguel “Pete” Trujillo, 76, passed away on April 26, 2021 at his Cheraw home. He was born to Jesus Maria & Soledad (Aragon) Trujillo Las Vegas, NM.
He was a very hard worker, a great provider for his family. He worked all his life, ranching and farming. He worked for Nebco for ten years then moved onto the City of La Junta and retired from the City after 30 years of service. He loved spending time outdoors working in his garage, spending time with his family. He also loved the mountains, fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed helping people he had a huge heart and was loved by many.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Trujillo of Cheraw; his children, Diane Trujillo of Cheraw and David Trujillo of Denver; grandchildren, Pedro J.M. Trujillo, Mark Trujillo, Desira Trujillo, Alex Trujillo, Corina Reyes, and Miguel Trujillo and numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Agapito Trujillo and granddaughter, Ronica Cordova.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
