Mildred Brigida Jimenez

Mildred Brigida Jimenez, 91, passed away on July 28, 2020 at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. She was born on Oct. 8, 1928 in La Junta, Colorado to Arnulfo & Cirila (Rodriguez) Perez. Mildred married Nicholas “Nick” Jimenez on April 22, 1949 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on March 20, 2005.

Mildred was a longtime active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick’s Parish. She attended La Junta public schools. She will dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mildred is survived by her children, Lucille (Eli) Fresquez, Jr. of Santa Fe, N.M., Nick (Cindy) Jimenez, Jr. of Cheraw, Michael Jimenez of Cheraw and Carolyn (Bob) Chavez of Henderson, CO; grandchildren, Eli (Valerie) Fresquez, III of Santa Fe, David Fresquez of Santa Fe, Nicholas (Vennessia) Jimenez, III of Strasburg, CO, Quentin (Kitrina) Jimenez of Northglenn, CO, Kristy (David) Embly of La Junta, Bobby (Maxine) Chavez, Jr. of Westminster, CO, and Leah (Yahin) Villegas of Arvada; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Ernal Perez of La Junta; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Perez of Phoenix, AZ & Anna Perez of Rocky Ford; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nick Jimenez, and brothers and sisters.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, July 31, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Interment will follow the mass at the East Holbrook Mennonite Cemetery in Cheraw.
