Naomi Joanne Scobee

Naomi Joanne Scobee, 71, passed away Feb. 26, 2010, at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born to Willie L. & Naomi E. (Howard) Gibson on March 16, 1938 in Allegheny County, Virginia.

Joanne enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She was a loving mother & grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Don of the La Junta home; daughters, Delores Linkswaller of Clifton Forge, VA and Debra (Bill) Fox of Fayetteville, AR; grandchildren, Crystal, Sabrina, Felisha, Daniel, Andy & Brian; great-grandchildren, Austin, Zachery, Grace, and Mya; sisters Catherine Vanness of Clifton Forge, Margaret (Bruce) Dame of Selma, VA, and Lois Ford of Charleston, WV; brother, William L. (Ruby) Gibson, Jr. of Roy, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Naomi Gibson, daughter, Denise Pachl, brothers, Richard, Clarence, Charles & Robert Gibson, sisters Eleanor Kindt and Evelyn Childs.

Funeral services were Today, Monday, March 1, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rex Williams, Pastor First Baptist Church of La Junta officiating. Burial service will be held at a later date in Virginia.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
