Osie Leona Broce

Osie Leona Broce, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Hasty Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Trevor Potter of the McClave Methodist Church officiating. She was born October 12, 1931 in Granada, Colorado to James Osie & Stella Elsie (Kirby) Robertson. She married Donnie L. Broce in 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada.Osie was an honorary service member of the U.S Air Force while serving as an officer in the Caddoa Ground Observer Corps for many years. She is survived by her husband, Donnie L. Broce; children, Lance (Norma) Verhoeff, Stella (Michael) Walters, Joyce (Kevin) Kracke, and Alan Verhoeff; grandchildren, Laurie, Heather, Bryan, Christyl, Michelle, Jo Alice, Amber, Carl, and JoDaLee; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia Cowen, Patricia Thorpe, Annalee Schafer, Virgie Lucas, Mary Davis, Jean Stifler, and C.A. Robertson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive; goddaughter, Heather Hernandez. Osie was preceded in death by her parents, James O. & Stella E. Robertson; First husband, Gerald Verhoeff; great-grandson, Samuel Khanal; brother, Frank Robertson; sisters, Jo Alice Smith, Lula Marie Rouse, and Elsie Hallmark.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
